big bore help

bigger carb like A 34 or 35mm , send the jug off to a builder for porting. Redesigned head, exhaust, reeds, Lots of suspension to handle the extra power like works shocks, 450r rear shock, extended a-arms, extended swingarm, extended axle(banshee axle will fit). Tell us your current setup and this will help us tell you what parts you need.

well the front is lowered, 73mm piston, fmf gold pipe, (which is rusted really bad) and i have a jet kit. i have put the it all back together but the jet kit. rode it some and it has a lot more power but feel like theres more to do.

whoa!!!! 73mm piston aint giving you any power, just lesss overbores but, get a bigger carb, and a better pipe, get the topend ported. all these mods will take the bike you have now and probably double the power. Will feel 2wice as fast.

ha yeah thats the piston size it had in it when i bought it. but the studs in the head were broke and had them fixed with new piston and rings. its got a lot of power but like you said everything else is holding it back

well if you said is true, put that jet kit in BEFORE you run it with a different exhaust, unless its already jetted for that fmf, but a bigger carb, some vforce reeds, and a port job and a +3 crank will make that thing go insane

Presuming this is an all new build? Best you list all mods you have and what jets are in carb so someone can help, better then burning it down !!

id say your fat piston sucking thru that little carb is like sucking a double thick milkshake thru a tiny straw--you going to suck your eye balls in! get a bigger carb, 34 or 35 mm:)

a shaved head will not be the same as a +3 crank. The +3 crank will change when your ports open and close i.e. more fuel and air. And more of both = more power. A shaved head only compresses what you have a liittle more than stock.
