600 grit sand paper do not do it roughly do it softly, wipe it off, spray some wd 40 on it, let it sit with a heater blowing on it, then wipe the wd-40 off. the wd-40 will act as a protectice layer, it shined my pipe up alot

A mother's buff ball on an electric drill is the way to do it. Just pick the right polish for what you're polishing. You can also use this for polishing up aluminum nerfs, bumpers, grab bars, wheels, etc. Just use chrome polish for chromed steel, use mag & aluminum polish for the aluminum parts, etc, and don't try polishing something that's clearcoated. The only brand I ever use is Mother's, it's a little more expensive than some, but it's the best sh*t out there PERIOD. I'll look for a couple pictures of aluminum stuff that i've polished by hand with mother's polish, it looks like a mirror.

Using sandpaper is a real sh*tty way to polish anything. Especially chrome. It won't take long before there's nothing there except raw steel and rust.

Found a couple old pics of stuff I polished. This was even done by hand, you get a better finish in less time when you use a buff ball on a drill. Before these were polished they were very dull looking and weathered, just looked like flat gray primer.

Try doing that with sandpaper.

AUTOSOL

Use AUTOSOL metal polish. That stuff works wonder, i got a rusted, pitted B1 exhaust from ebay. Took about a tube and half (7.50 CA per tube) to the pipe, and silencer. WOW, i couldn't believe it, took like 90% of the rust off and shines her up REALLY nice. Just a terry cloth will work fine. I used a rotory tool for the tight spots. Really reccomend this stuff!!!!

get the paint stripper that comes in a spray can and get very fine grit sand paper and then use a dremel with the polishing bit and get all dif color polishing compounds and use the white last and ur sh*t will SHINE
