What is the best size motocross bike for a 14 year old that is going to be riding dunes and weighs 60KG ???
Thanks

125 two stroke and 250 4 stroke are going to be about even. they are all full size bikes if he fits those he could fit the 250 2 stroke and maybe 450 4 stroke? best would b to go and look at them and have him sit on and ride them

seat height ist so much the problem as engine size, i dont care what anyone says, 125cc 2strokes have nothing on 2450 4pokes, just too much power imo, when i ride them it scares the chit outa me, but thats cause am on one wheel the whole time on a modded race bike hahaha

Let me rephrase the question:
What bike would best suit a 14 year old 5.7 ft 60 kg that rides SOFT SAND DUNES.
A ktm 250 SX-F or RM 250 (2stroke) or YZ 125?
Thanks

if you get him the rm250 he won't ever have to sell and get a bigger one. if he can take it easy at first and get a feel for it i'm sure he'll b more happy with it in the long run. but that is your call if you think he is responsible enough to stay off the throttle till he gets a feel for it

Is it better than the ktm 250 sx-f??
I know its 2 stroke and all but im not ssure how good it is in the dunes...

i'm a 2 stroke guy but isn't the dunes where a 2 stroke shines? you can really wind them out and use their potential. i have a feeling there would be alot of shifting on a 4 stroke

What about heating??? I have no problem with a blaster and banshee in the dunes but i just dont know much about the 2 stroke dirtbikes. (Keep in mind the temperature here is around 30 C to 50C, thats why im leaning towards the ktm 250 sx-f rather than the rm 250.
What do you think????

The 2 stroke bikes shine in the dunes you will be fine as long as you keep up on maintenance and run the proper mixture
