i have a bent axle on exh. side are there any tips or tricks to getting it out... i'm gonna also replace the axle bearings. g-force is a good one?

The g-force axles should be great for the blaster, it's not a heavy machine so it doesn't put a lot of stress on the axle compared to bigger machines.

As far as getting the old axle out, have fun. Since the old axle is trash anyways you have the benefit of not having to worry about damaging the old one, which is a big advantage. It sucks when you have to re-use the axle you're removing, because sometimes they get locked in there pretty good.

Basically just take off your wheels, take off the hubs, take off the axle nuts (this will be fun if you don't have a really big wrench), take the chain off the sprocket, and tap on the end of the axle with a sledge hammer until it starts coming loose. If you're unsure about anything post on here and get a 2nd opinion before you just take a guess at it and risk causing more damage.

ok i will add on to what you had to say^

ok get a lead pipe slightly bigger than the threads and slightly longet and put it over the threads and then hit it out of the axle carrier! BUT make sure you lubricate it good because you dont want to have to buy a long pipe to stick inside the axle carrier and bang on that when the axle gets stuck half way through.

i just checked my service manual and thats what it says.. everything the guy above me says plus that lead pipe bit except they said use a suitable size socket to cover the threads.. i say no to that because i am not puting my perfect complete socket set on the line! lead pipe is much easier and has no real purpose so idc if i pound that with a sledge hammer!

The only real purpose of the socket over the end of the axle is to protect the threads so you can bolt the hubs back on when you're finished. That doesn't really matter the slightest bit when the axle is trashed and not getting reused anyways.

Cut the axle on the side it's bent that will make it alot easier...so you dont have to pull the bent parts through the carrier an bearings.....also use a torch to apply a lil heat to free things up a lil that always works to.

get a banshee axle for cheap what their like 60$$$$ com on adding 3 inches and thats a yamaha oem part

yea a banshee axle plus douglas rims will add a total of 5 inches wider....can't beat that!!! an the good thing about it is it will cost less then that 200 dollars axle
