Was thinking about doing the frame in bed liner. Nice tough finish, easy to apply and touch up.....

Don't look real purty, but, I'm not looking for a beauty queen, I want one that looks consistant and wears like all get out.

like rhino liner spray-in?

sweet! yeah, it'll look rough.. well, and feel rough too... haha..

hey, do you think that a thick lining like that would prohibit you from seeing a stress fracture or crack in the frame? just curious. would be bad to have an otherwise noticeable cracked frame and not know it.

YES

In my case it won't matter much, I don't ride hard enough. I'm a welder and I am going to seal all the frame pipe ends and strengthen all my welds before I paint/coat. But, yes, you make a great point, the bedliner/Rhino or whatever is a little flexible and if you scored a little crack it would be all but impossible to see.

From my experience most bedliner really isn't more durable than regular paint when it gets rubbed against by logs, rocks, etc. It'd be a real biotch to clean mud off of too with all those little pockets for dirt to hide in. It'd be unique though, go for it if you want and let us know how it turns out.

Make sure you plug up all the bolt holes before you paint it too, bedliner could really make the threads nasty.

WRITE DOWN UR VIN BEFORE YOU DO THIS!!!

if it gets stolen you can describe it but they cant put it in the database for cops all over to look for. without a vin the description of your quad means nothing..

;-)

"I see a red door and I want to paint it black"

Been on a Stones kick..

I will actually have my last name in a weld bead on the bottom, too.

Workin' on it

Not sure everything will fit back on if I do it. The sh*ts like an 1/8" think. May cause the seat to not latch or some rotten little thing. Can't spray it on the inside of the motor mount points, anywhere I need a ground, etc.Still thinking about it. I like the under coating idea, makes good sense.

I wanted to parkerize the whole thing.

powder coat but if your on a budget paint it black. bed liner would make all the arms and swing arm mount a pitty to put back together
