heres my theory
cut wiring harness until you separate all lighting wires and lighting power wirse bla bla...
then cut the wires
splice them to a new set of wire and keep them connected to the regular ligting wires as intended in the SAME splice
ok so now u have a group of wires that go from the stator to a splice that breaks off in 2 directions.
one is going to the lights
and the newly sliced in wires are just hangin for now
then take a ride on mower batery, (i will do some research on batteries and find one that has a limiter that shuts off the charging process once the maximum capacity is reached)
ok so connect the ride on mower battery to the 2 wires you just hacked onto ur wire harness
then do a double splice againnnn that way your new wire is cut and has a wire coming off of that!
then connect the newly spliced wires from the middle of the previously spliced new set of wires, to the middle of the regular wires that are on their way to the lights....
now you have a paralel circuit...
my theory is that in combination with a high wattage stator liek the 75 watt from ricky stator, you can run the lights, and charge a batery at the same time.
now when u turn off the stator (letting off the throttle and leting the engine die off) you have no power? NO you made a paralel circuit and now the lights continue to shine bright even tho the engines off... this is cuz the batery is still completeing the circuit despite the fact the engines off... then next time you turn on the quad you charge the lights up then the batterys limitor will stop the charging (preventing the batery from exploding) once you charge the batery fully....
so this lets you run your lights even tho the quad is off
it also lets you get to reuse ur batery (by charging it off of the higher wattage stator)
this means after you shut off the quad you will be forced to turn the light switch off or else ul kill the batery.
do you guys under stand my theory or should i get sum pics up? (poorly drawn pics) i dont have money to try it yet and i want to see what you guys think.
