Banshee maintenance

I am thinking about getting a Yamaha banshee. What do i do after i turn it off after a day of riding to ensure a good running start up each time i go to start it. Should i turn the fuel off and let it idle till it dies or should i just turn it off and walk away. PLZ HELP IM LOST when it comes to this stuff

just turn it off and shut the fuel off. If storing for extended periods open the drain on the bottom of the carb and drain the fuel out of the carb with the petcock turned off

Ok thanks. I thought it would be more specific. How long would storing be for extended period of time.
