av-gas

i ran 100 octane and i noticed a hp gain and increase in throttle response. but i ran it rich. so yanno i compensated for the extra wear if it was going to happen

my buddy uses it alot in his stock yfz450. i ran it a few times in my klr250 enduro an it see, like it cleaned the system out an ran smoother.

there is a big debate on another forum I belong to about this subject some guys swear by it and others advise not to use it.

when my mom buys 87 octane my shee runs like sh*t and always stalls....so im like f*ck this now my dad always buys premium and its MUCH better...but tooo high octane can hurt a motor ...ex..a stock motor on race gas is not necessary

personally i'm not a big fan of using AV gas. knew a guy who used it in his car and when he went to 91 pump fuel it actually went .1 faster to the eighth (pretty decent gain for a drag car just changing fuel) that stuff is designed to burn at altitude and you'll have to run the thing really rich to compensate. if you need the octane, get real race fuel

the 100ll works great for me.
ive used sonoco 100 octane and still had detonation.
where i live VP gas or real race gas is hard to come by.
+ the 100ll only cost me 4.79 a gal. and i have no detonation issues anymore.

i have used av100LL in teh past.. and that is the ONLY av gas you'll wanna use..

i knwo the debate and alot has to do with an article going around about how AV gas is not good because of sluggish performsnace and some crap liek that.. what most people don't know is that article is written for people that were taking race gas engiens and dumping in av100LL to save a few bucks.. if the engine is built for say 110 race gas then youi do not wanna use 100LL .. nw if youi have a pump gas engien that detonates give tha av100LL a try.. it works.. the LL stand for LOW LEAD.. there are traces of tetraetheyl lead in that fuel.. the same lead that was in gasoline of years past and is still in most race fuels.. te lead is a detoation deterant.. i've heard the crap about the de-icer in 100LL being bad for your engine at ground level.. it has never once affect any of my engine i've dumped it into in a negative way.. always had topend that lasted well. no destruction of any kind.. i'm tired of driving to go get the stufff though.. haha... also the av gas has a great shelf life from what i have experianced.. much much much longer than reg pump fuel..
