hey guys, i have a stuck swing arm bearing in a lone star swing arm that i can't get out. my biggest problem is that the tube is kinda of mishapen and i can't get a socket to fit in the hole. so i've been banging on it with a screw drive. do you think taking a torch to it will help losen it up? its been sitting in lube for days and still is stuck.

freeze the whole thing, then real quick focus the torch on the bearing to heat it, then it should slide out.
watch out for seals

ok thats what i was going to try once i got the torch....idc about anything because i am replacing it all so the seals got to go

thats the total OPOSITE of what to do. freezing something shrinks it, heating something expands it. do as he said, freeze it, but heat up the outer edge, NOT the bearing. a oxy-acetylene torch would be best.
