i did before my fmf. previous owner took it out. didnt rejet. still on stock bore and stock piston from 99 if that answers your question

I believe your Blaster is a 2000, not a 1999, but I could be wrong. My friend had an 00 that looked identical to yours.
I also had the baffle out of mine before I started modding. I think it had stock jetting but that was the better part of a decade ago so I can't remember.

His was a 2000......we checked. Yamaha lists that color as a 2000 too. It might have also been on the 99 model year as well though.
just the cap. and lrd they must have ran this style for 2 years cuz the vin decoder confirmed mine is a 99
Might have. Either that or it was one of those year and a half things. Yamaha ran "yamaha blue" almost every year during those years(hence my blue 99), but usually offered 1 specialty color as well. I don't know what/if the specialty color was in 99 so it might have been the same as 2000. I know the blue changed from 99 to 2000.
i took the baffle out of mine, put it back in and then took it out again. i noticed no difference in power or jetting. the only thing i noticed was that it sounded more like a 4 stroke.
You could make the silencer a shorty for the fun of it. I did it to my bros 460ex drag bike pipe but Yoshi uses alot of material.
