alright so the old axle in my blaster has a 42 speller but I want the 40 that was on my 06 axle. the hubs are different shaped so I couldn't just swap sprockets ... so I pulled hubs and all and have been trying to swap them I've been trying like hell to get the newer one on the old axle but it won't budge any ideas? ps sorry for the dumb questions I'll have alot of then

I may not be seeing the pic of the bottom one clearly, but to me it looks cactus!
Why would you choose to use it?
Best bet is to buy a pair of sprockets and a chain for trouble free motoring.
Mixing and matching chains and sprockets cost more money in the long run.
By the way the only dumb question, is the one unasked!

I don't want to mix and match plans are to buy chain and sprocket but I really want that bottom hub and I wanna try the 40 tooth out haha idk but uh... what's cactus?

That old sprocket looks like it is going to make it very hard to adjust the chain., whatever you do don't overtighten it, because it may tear the carrier bearing to shreds.
what makes you think that? just curious I know like nothing about these.. yet I have a bad habit of learning everything I can about everything lol
Notice how "pointy" the theeth are on the old sprocket? would be lots of slop, rollers won't ride deep in tooth, wants to roll over point.
Take a tip from an old fart.
Don't consider running your beefy chain on that old sprocket, as sure as eggs, are eggs, you stand a good chance of wrecking the chain.
