so i got my piston ordered and got a new carb but the stock air filter doesnt fit on the 30 mm carb what type of air filter do u guys recommend

I am running the 28mm, but the mouth is the same size.
And keep in mind, this is for the air box delete option.
But here's what I did. And I actually went back in and cut out the little tool box cubby in the back too.

yeah i'm having a dyslexic moment on this one too, the stock filter goes in the airbox, or you talkin 'bout the rubber boot or a pod style filter?????

i have the stock air box without a lid thats it and im doing a new top end and going to put a new carb but dont know what direct carb air filter to use

If you are using the stock airbox and are looking to get the rubber boot that comes form the airbox to fit then you just need to use a hair dryer and heat it up some to get it on or use a dremel and take a little out.The question is a little vague. If you are using a stock airbox then the stock filter will work,no filter needed.Explain a little better so we can help you out.

i want to use the stock air box but it doesnt fit on the carb ill be using so i was looking for some clamp on direct air filter direct to carb

Go to home depot and go to the plumbing section, you will find a boot with clamps. Problem solved!!!
