air box

i was told the stock air box is very restrictive and that drilling 2 "1 hols at the back will increase the air flow is this true

yes it is .. i would pull the lid off, if u are not going to be mudding and stuff like that, and get a k&n or uni filter and up your main jet ,..

why would i need to up the main jet what does that do

basicaly because your carb still thinks its getting the same amount of air so it gives it the same amount of gas (fyi air/fuel mixture) but since your getting a lot more air at the same amount of fuel it will run lean and can do minimal to great damage to your engine

so how do i up the main jet and about how much does that cost

it should only cost a few dollars to change out your jet to a larger one. stoc is 230, Im guessing you will need abouta 240. you may not even need to change it at all. you have to do a plug shop to tell if it is running rich, lean, or just right.

i just drilled 6 1" holes in my airbox lid and put uni air vents in i shall see how she runs tomorrow

well tested them out seem to work good, almost feel a small power difference
