when i got my quad last week, the airbox was caked w/ mud and other sh*t. i figured out that the cause of this was that the plug on the bottom was missing completely. what could i use to plug that so i can remove it easily, but it won't fall off. i also tried something new: i drilled a bunch of holes in the airbox lid, then strapped a book sok 2 the top then bolted it back on. this allows for less restricted air flow, and a dual filtration system. on my 250 ex though i just took the lid off and stretched the book sok over the box, and it hasn't fallen off yet. kind of off topic, but i can't ride either of my quads right now because my 250 has 2 flats, and my blaster has no front or rear brakes: i bought it that way, but i only paid $600!B-) anyway, what do you guys think about my airbox system? oh, also, what's the big deal about getting a larger air box? it seems to me if you have good air flow, you wouldn't need a larger one, right?

take screw/small bolt, a nut, and a rubber bushing that is small enough to fit through the hole....(preferably a bushing with a hole all the way through it)...put the screw/bolt through the bushing and put the nu on the end...then put it in the airbox drain hole and tighten it down....and it should expand and seal off the hole

built my blaster...4 years of shop classes....and now im a union bricklayer.....seen a lot of little tricks
