i bought a toomey exhausts yesterday and am now wondering if the jetting for the carb will still be the right if i have the airbox cover off?

did you rejet for the exhaust? if you were already running the airbox open you will still need to jet for the pipe
The Toomey pipe kit should come with a new airfilter and a 310 main and also calls for the airbox lid removed and/or with the airbox screen vents installed.
