after fresh rebuil

hey guys and gals i just rebuilt this old blaster i got from a buddy. when i got it the motor was shot. i put a hotrod crank and crank bearings with a weisco top end set and moose gaskets. i know have a serve popping sound with little puffs of smoke coming out between the top end and the jug(where the gasket is) the mecahnic said to shave the top end.what do yall think i should do.

shaving the head would take out any imperfections that would cause a leak, also torque the nuts down to specs and in the right rotation so u got a good seal!

yeah ur heads probably warped. hopefully the deck isn't, or you'll have to get it shaved too.
