Advice on a Carb.

im looking to purchase a 34mm carb for an engine i wanna build soon, but what are the advantages/disadvantages of a round or a flat slide carb??

I myself would go with a 34mm keihin pj carb. They have good performance, are easy to tune and most of all, there cheap. jmo though

yea i was thinking the same to,i just wanna know what the diff between the flat and the round slide are. (besides the obvious..lol)

I believe the flat slides offer better performance and may even be easier to tune.

im pretty sure the flat slides give better throttle response and low end power..

i have the 34mm keihin pj and have not had a problem yet! reliability is the number 1 factor when it comes to any part, with me anyways...

i just googled them and found some info and they say the throttle responce is better then the round. Anyone here with a a flat slide carb?

performance and function is superior in everything to me..that also factors in reliablity.

Yeah, just about anyone will tell you flatslides (or D-slides) are better (reasons already stated). That's why da racers use em.
