Ok, i bought a AC racing engine skid plate and this piece of sh*t came without instructions, and i dont know how the hell i am to mount this thing up. All this came with was 3 u clamps but the allen bolts dont even reach to the other side so i dont know how im gonna grab them and it also came with 2 other "plates" that have lips to the side and 2 big bolts....someone help me out.

Here they are, see if you can find out. BTW the allen bolt in the u clamp wont go through the entire clamp.

Sounds like the plates are the nuts for the u bolts and the lip may just hang over the frame rail. But they should be long enough.lol

put the skid on the bottom, the straight pieces will go on top of the frame and the bolt/spacer combo's will go through those and then the other clamps should hold it at the back

how am i gonna attach the u to the plats if the allen bolt isnt long enough to reach the other side, also there are 3 u clamps and only 2 plates with 2 big bolts with spacers and nuts.

OK It looks like the plate goes towards the front where the frame gets skinnier, the other clamp with the bolt in it just wraps the frame rail. Not really sure what that spacer looking thing is.Can we get a pic of the full plate.

The U just wraps the frame rail and the bolt goes in from the bottom.Makes sense now,the spacer with bolt goes between the plate and the skid plate.Good call brandonz

theres nothing important in the front of the skid plate,no holes nothing, the only holes are the one you see in the pic.

But like i said before, how is the u clamp gonna hold itself if i cant attach it to anything..... and i dont get the plate idea, to what are the bolts gonna get into???

See where the skidplate gets skinnier, you need to take the spacer-bolt-nut apart and place the bolt up through the skidplate, then the spacer goes on then the plate(over the frame rails)camps they go on top of the skidplate and sinch down on the rails and then tighten them with the bolt up through the bottom.

ok i understand you, but problem is, the skidplate doesnt have any holes to where the allen bolt could come from below, only holes are the two big ones at the center, the one for the oil and 2 little ones at the very end.

Now for the plates, i think w ehave it narrowed down, gotta test it out tomorrow, cuz its already getting dark and im tired already to keep working on it.

yep thats how i was thinking, but there are no holes in the skid plates at the sides so i can put the bolt through....im thinking hand drill.... lmao! and why only 3 u clamps?? logic tells me i would need 4 in this case, i aint NEVER buying anything AC ever again lol.

And the plates got them figured out, thanks! rep for you guys!!

No problem.I am guessing on on each side in the rear and one on the very rear.I think mine uses 5 but has 2 where your spacer and plate goes.

ok got it mounted up, like you said, two uclamps at the end and the two plates, now all i have to do is cut a very very ugly front lip, its like 5+ inches farther from the DG bumper,it looks like a f*cking stepping plate lmao. Pics tomorrow, got the dg bumper and mosse wide grab bar and the skid palte mounted.

Thanks again guys for the help.
