a/f screw jetting? confused so much

dumb question but to make your pilot richer, do you turn the a/f screw in or out?

the screw regulates how much air is let into the circut
tunrning it in lets less air in making it richer, out allows more air making it leaner
under 1 turn out needs a richer pilot, over 2 turns out needs a leaner pilot = turns in/out for it to rev cleanly and return to idle without hangin
