New to the forum and looking to get a 1996 Blaster. I was wondering what everyone thought of them and what I need to look for? Also what would one consider to pay for a 1996.. Thanks for any and all help...

Depends on the condition, is it totally rebuilt? Lots of aftermarket parts? I bought a 96 for $400 a year or 2 ago

If you are planning on keeping this quad and modding it to your liking I would personaly hunt for an 03 or newer blaster for a good price. they come with hydrolic disc brakes all the way around instead of drums and cable brakes like the older models. but if the one you are lookin at runs and has some decent mods it is probably worth 800 tops. I wouldn't pay more than that for an 96

blaster pros
light weight
simple to work on
easy of find used stock and aftermarket parts
this site

con
not very powerful
small in size

need something to compare it too to get more pros and cons, these are just a couple i could think of.

and for a blaster that is running, $600-$800 would be the price.

/\/\/\ easily and affordably modded to have good power to weight, and small size makes them very nimble on the trails, easily out maneuvering bigger, more powerful quads in tight trails

imo .... one of the best woods/trail quads ever with the right mods,
open riding area's with long straights, be prepared to have your ass handed to ya on a trail set-up blaster

Thanks for all of the feedback...Took a look @ it and looked rough and he was not willing to go down from his $1000 price. Just got to keep searching....
