88 blaster revs super high

i have been reading that i may have a crank seal problem and upon taking apart the clutch side seal it was torn up badly, so what are the chances of my left side also being bad? and would the right side crank seal alone cause my engine to rev up high when it gets warm? i am new to working on atv's so any help would greatly be appreciated.. carb is clean and working fine the cable is not sticking and the valve is not stuck if i do need to remove the stator can anyone send somne pics or give me some pointers on how to remove the left side

id change the other side neway since the seals come as a pair (i think) better safe than sorry. consider it a tuneup. bc ure gonnabe changing the oil neway
