So I got an 88 Blaster for cheap off of some guy. The guy tells me that it was sitting in his garage for a few years and it was running before it sat. He took it out and tried to start it and it had no spark so he decided to sell it. I ended up getting the bike and going through all the connections with an ohm meter. I checked all the connections and I didn't find any open loops besides the coil. The ohms on the primary are correct except when I try it on the secondary I just get an open loop. I bought a replacement off of ebay, same model number, and I test that one out same thing, nothing on the secondary. I went to a local shop today to buy a coil thinking the one I had bought was just a defect. I get home to try it out and same thing. Is there something i'm not getting, like testing it wrong? Secondly, I was wondering if i'm missing a part in the pictures below. The top left should be a voltage regulator, top right CDI unit, and bottom right a control unit?
