i believe the only thing that will ever replace a 4 stroke gas engine or diesel engine, are ALL battery assisted and all out battery. those 5 6 strokes may be usefull for like specific apps but will never actually replace what we have now. imo

Very interesting! But I agree with the battery comment. Caterpillar just released a limited number of electric bull dozers. The have a smaller diesel engine driving a generator to power the drive motors. I believe this and the ford tonka project are the way of the future.

yea i like the part that the 5 stroke only gets 5 % better efficency then the 4 stroke.. but yet tho if you look at it on the 6 stroke article the 4 stroke gase is only 24% efficent so that would me the 5 stroke would only be 29% which said would me that the deisel is still a better engine cause it is 30% an the turbo deisel is 33%... so i mean everything will always have its pros an cons an like said above everything will have to be rewritten in txt books an everythign but if it does pan out i guess theyll have to make changes an us backyard junkies will have to relearn everything too.... another thing to add to my books.....
