do you think if i elimated the air box it would be a good idea then put a 400ex shock in it so i dont have to modify anything on the air box because i think is bad to cut you airbox like that

Well if you toss the air box and go with a filter straight off the carb you cant go as many places as before. No deep water. You shouldn't ride in real sandy conditions or mud cause all that can get sucked into your engine. Thats not good...

if you think it's bad to cut the airbox... wouldn't removing it be worse? but, i hear people say you can just heat the plastic airbox and bend it to shape. or you could use a 250R rear shock.

i just put my 400ex shock in, i didnt have to cut the airbox, just heat it up n bend it
