I am going to start to rebuild a spare blaster motor that i have setting around and am verry seriously thinking about putting a +3mm crank in it. does anyone besides vitos make / sell the +3mm crank rod assembly? and 2nd how has everybody liked them? any mod's have to be made to my cylnder?
just wanting to know the pro's and con's before i get started. Thanks GUYS!!I:II:I
I just feel lucky to be alive!!!!

As far as I know Vito's is the only one that makes the plus 3. Just like Hotrods brand only makes the plus 4 . With the plus3, it comes with a spacer plate. It does the job but would work better if you send your jug and head to get setup for it. You can send your crank out to get checked and true'd but not realy sure if that's really needed.

i run the +3 and it works great. only one i know of is from vitos and they come trued however ken has seen some that were off. i think they did have a problem with qc. the one i am running hasnt been trued by anyone and the next one i get im going to run it like it comes also... the spacer plate will allow you to run it with your cylinder and porting for the extra stroke will help. you wont need much or any mods to the case. it would be a good idea to take off some material where the rod comes close to the top of the cases.

Same here with running as is. I think it costs almost as much to get it done as the crank costs.

ive had no issues with my vitos +3 and its on its 2nd season of riding and racing. geting the cylinder ported to match the stroke is a must do in my opinion. getting it checked and trued would be great if u have the extra $300+ to do it lol :o :o

I'm running a vito's +3 "out of the box" with no trouble.

You can run a stock top end with the spacer plate and it will run fine but to get the MOST of the crank, the top end needs to be ported to match. Some porters design their jobs around the spacer plate. Some porters prefer no spacer plate. Once it's under the knife, it's only a matter of preference because it can be ported to the same specs either way. I just like it without spacer plate because it takes one more gasket out of the loop the only thing is, without a spacer plate the head has to be modified (which you should get done anyway to get the MOST out of the porting!) to accept the longer stroke.
