I have an original 34mm Mikuni Flatslide carb from a last year model quadracer. It was running when It was taken off and I bought it, but it was dirty as all hell and the all the gaskets need replaced. I just got in a new moose rebuild kit for it and am tearing it all down today, cleaning it, replacing all jets/needle/gaskets etc. I will post pics of all this later today so that you know I am not just BSing.
I have decided to go another route, so am going to sell this carb once it is cleaned and rebuilt. This carb is suggested by Ken for his port and mill on stock jug but would also be good for 240. Probably not a good choice for you stockers though.
Deal is I want 70 for carb, just paid 27.95 for rebuild kit so I will let it go for 85 plus shipping. This is one I am not negotiable on, but will possibly take trade for nice aftermarket swingarm skid and a few $
