well finally got the blasty broke in and ready to rip so we headed out on a beautiful day...where to start lol...well when i first started her up, i noticed right off the bat how much more compression the blasty had, real tuff to kick lol, but she did fire up on the second kick....not to bad lol. after a few adjustments the throttle responce was dead on, no bog at all anywhere.
heading into the trails, it was kinda tough getting used to the lightened flywheel, it makes it easier to stall out at low RPM's due to the less rotational mass, but the high revs and nasty throttle response is well worth getting used to lol...now being i had this on my mind i was thinking i would have a hard time "crawling thru the woods" with a port job meant for mid to top, but not the case at all, i had all the low rpm crawling that i needed, when i needed it...and we have some crappy rocky hills we crawl up!
now when finally getting the chance to get on it abit....1st gear thru 3rd with a 14 tooth front almost seemed to small but as said above i like the crawling lowend when needed so no prob, but then it also seems like after 3rd gear and up i do not have enough room to get her all the way open because it DOES NOT STOP PULLING lol..and it seemed to take forever to hit powerband....ahhhh yes the powerband lol, i had the chance to hit powerband in 5th gear for a short while and it was downright friggan scary, i thought to myself at 1 point "did i go to far this time"....it stood up like a nitrous shot had just been injected and that was first time i thanked god i bought hydro brakes!...the bad part to this is that i need a long straight track to really to get this thing opened all the way up....its just sick power and its really more than i could say is safe for any beginner rider who thinks a blasty needs more power
extra thanx go to my man denny at FLOTEK....u have done it again brotha, and 3 months from now we can really get to see what u have done
