So I haven't been on here in a while due to building a trx250r . When I was on here last I was running a 34mm Tm Mikuni carb. I was having trouble getting the jetting right over and over. I changed the jets like ten tims along with diff adjustment. So I got to the point to where i was going to tear it down and just go from there. I was piss off for sometime. Even had it fowl a plug on me nine miles away from the truck . So afte all that bs I took the carb off and intake plus the reeds. When I pulled the reeds out the reed cage was cracked(Vforce 3 reeds and cage). So I went back to boyseen Carbon reeds and the stock carb. so this what I'm getting at I want to run a 34mm kihein carb instead of the 34tm. Any opions or thoughts on running that carb on a un-ported 240bbk. Running CFm air box and lrd adjustable exhauhst.

Thoughts: To see a real gain in HP get that cylinder ported and head work from KOR.

Can't really tell you much about the carb and jetting (other are more knowledgeable than me in that area) but I run a 35 PWK keihin and had some trouble jetting it as well. I don't think switching carbs is going to make it any easier or harder. Just stick with the mikuni. Its one of the 2 big names in carbs. Don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I run a 34 keihin, and can tell you there's way more tuning info and experience on here with the keihins,
than the mikuni.

the keihin will NEED.... a #6 slide, a DGH or CEL needle, don't waste your time without those.
45-50 pilot and 148-158 mains (estimated ranges)

I bought the carb for my 250r but went with a 38mm on it. I'll have to check that carb out to see what is in it. What cylinder are you running?

I run a Ken Oconnor Racing ported stock cylinder.
