hey guys aint been on in awhile but i traded my ds 650 for a 240 big bore with a 3 mm stroker that needed a top end got it all put back together an runnin but now no clutch the clutch thing (sorry dont know what is called) that is on the crank case with the spring i just cant turn it all the way to engage the clutch i turn it as far as i can an put it in gear an there is no clutch can yal help cause i know nothin about a clutch thanks in advance

Ok, does it not go (Engage)(release lever) or does it not stop (Dis-engage)(pull lever). If you changed oil during re-build what did you use. Is there free play at lever. Does point on clutch actuator arm line up with point on case? Did it work for short time after build then quit?
ok it dont dis engage at all no i did not change the oil he said it only had two rides on it (around a total of hour a half) an not sure what point on the case ur talkin about its pointin almost dead nuts at the right side rear wheel an as far as i know it worked before when i got it i had the cylinder bored to a 73 mm an installed that with the new piston an rings
My bad about the pointer, a Banshee has an arrow on the case. Is there any free play at the clutch lever? Has this motor been sitting for a long while? 6 months or so? If so, plates might just be stuck.
This next suggestion you do totally on your own liability !! Start engine in neutral, warm it up to almost hot. Do not hold clutch in while warming it, holding the lever in for extended time is what welds the ball and rod. Then try clutch. If no good, support the axle by skid plate or carrier securely with wheels off ground. Start it in 3rd-4th gear, pull clutch lever, go 1/4 throttle, jamb on brake to stall. Might have to try this several times,3-4-5. If you have safe enough area to ride it you can do that rather than wheels off ground.
If this doesn't work you have more serious problems. Time to break out your manual and go through the whole process of inspection/adjustment. You do have a manual, don't you ?

this happened to me, you are most likely missing the ball bearing that is on top of the rod. You will ned to open up ur clutch take all the plates out pull the rod out and put a new bearing in, you can use a bb from a bb gun if you dont have the bearing
