I am lost for words. I was out riding and I took about an hour break. Started my bike and it ran like it was flooded. I ran it for a couple minutes and it seemed to run better. I started down a trail and it started sounding like it was starving for gas. It eventually shut off and I haven't been able to start it since. This is the first problem I've had with this bike and I am very disappointed.

I have checked my air filter, it is new and oiled. I have compression. I have replaiced the spark plug. I have spark. I have emptied the gas tank and replaced the gas. I have tried starting fluid directly into the cylinter and I only sometimes get a sputter.

Someone please let me know if you have run into the same problem and have found a solution.

Sincerely,

Dave

I was out riding the other day and it wouldn't pull me at all. I took off the carb and the jet somehow loosened itself and was about to fall into the bowl, it was getting to much fuel. Get a compression tester and check your compression, check your reeds for cracks and lifting, check/clean your carb, was your plug wet when you pulled it. Just a few things to check. Good luck.

I finally tor everything down. The problem is my reeds. I saw that one is cracked, and it is missing a good section. I don't know any place else the missing piece could have gone except into the engine.

I am just starting to learn how this motor really works, should I worry about this?

Do I now have to tear apart my engine looking for a piece of plastic?

I greatly appreciate everybody's input.

I was going to tell ya reeds!! Mine feel out the other day and it took two days of pulling my hair out until i found the reed laying in the inake of the jug. The gas was just a flowing. There was another dude on another topic that said his reed was chipped or somthing and i was wondering how it even ran at all.

yeah..i hate to tell you.. but you are going to want to rip down your motor and find that reed...

GET SOME CARBON FIBER REEDS (VFORCE 3'S..not the delta 2's) or my personal favorite - G3 reeds.
