It is dupli-color metal cast over a gray primer. It doesn't coat well.

Ah, no wonder I liked it. Did an RC pan over bare aluminum and a carrier over silver basecoat. Might have to experiment over white and gold base, just for kicks.
Ya, stuff is kinda thin so to speak, lots of coats to get good color.
