i guess this doesnt really constitute a full rebuild thread but i didnt know where else to put it.
heres the 2000 "parts bike" i recently recieved with my 91 blaster. all the parts are not shown, i have all the parts except the upper brake cable, rear cable/caliper, fenders, and a piston. it has an air box with the fenders cut off, and i guess it had a racing hood on it but the po cut the tiny fenders off and put it on the 91. the plastics were blue anyways and would have looked silly on there. i think the nice white fenders on the 91 may have originally came off the 2000, but i dont know if there were any red/white/black blasters made.
since i dont have room or the need for three blasters, i am going to put the engine and some other parts from my 88 on this much nicer frame/chassis, i will probably have to use my grungy old fenders on it for now too, so we can ride it this winter. i will save the 2000 engine, and some parts from my 88 as spares, then part out the rest of the 88(the one in my profile pic). hopefully by next spring i can aquire some black fenders/rear plastics for it, i think it will look good black with the red/black seat/tank and red hubs/shocks. then next spring i will repaint the frame, and whatever else needs it. should look like new after that.
