1989 Yamaha blaster. Specs and info

i had just came across a 1989 Yamaha blaster.. for a 89, it starts with a single kick, rode it everyday and just bought it to the trails today and rode for three hours without a single problem.. but I can't seem to find where I can find out all the specs and info on it, & what fits on this year that also fits on other years, etc.. does anyone have a website or something that I can do more research on it? For instance, it doesn't have any brakes.. basically just downshift and slow down until you stop.. is it hydraulic or cable? When I say no brakes.. no brake lines, no brake lever, no disks.. not a thing that has to do with brakes is on it.

03-06 have hydraulic brakes ,anything older have drum brakes
unless someone has modified it..
check vin on frame by foot shifter,the 10th digit is year for that frame
frame matters when buying brake parts
more then likely you have a drum brake set up and need to purchase accordinly/or upgrade it
to hydraulic.
pics would help cause people do weird things to these blasters lol

hydraulic would be discs...drums would be well round drums with cables lol not brake fluid resevoirs discs... lol

may be irrelevant to the question but something to think about
