I wonder if any of you guys know how much is would cost if my buddy bought a proper tube and everything...but the costs to do this were 5$ for the aluminum tubing, $20 to get it welded and $30 for the new filter. I dont know how much the rubber tube was to connect it to the plastic intake part with clamps and the brass fitting that you can just see.

You can really hear the blow off valve now inside the car with windows closed.

With the air filter in the engine compartment it will be drawing hot air, if the filter was located in the fender or behind the bumper cover then it would draw cold air.

That grill on the right next to the light actually goes right into the engine comp.....how cold the intake air gets just depends on how fast the car is moving with this open concept pod filter, we almost matched the outside temp today...he can moniter what his car is doing with his Bullydog Watchdog computer.....it also helps his fuel economy believe it or not.
