03 Blaster not starting

took apart the engine to fit new piston and rings due to low compression. painted the frame while the engine was removed. reassembled everything using new gaskets and torque specs from the manual and now will not start.

the carb was removed in one piece and no adjusting screws were turned. I am getting a good spark from the plug. when I kick the engine it will attempt to fire but will stop after a second or two.

thanks in advance for your help. hopefully its something obvious that I've missed

Is the gas petcock turned on? lol

was it leakdown tested ?
is the piston in the right direction ?
reeds good ?
fresh fuel ?
how long did the carb sit while rebuilding ? maybe it could use a cleaning ?

How much oil did you put in the crankcase after assembly?

Do you have a good fuel flow?

tors removed? If it fires them stops firing could be a safety.

possibly TORS! but perhaps the carb picked up some dirt which the move. best to give it a clean out

Open drain on float bowl see if you're getting gas, float might have stuck in closed position
