OK you got me! Screw by the coil?
Reed removal is pretty simple.
Remove the carb.
Unscrew the 4 bolts that hold the reed cage.. Dont just unscrew on at a time and take them out, you should crack each one open evenly, just a little bit, about 1/16 of a turn.
Then another 1/16 of a turn before you take them out completly.
This stops the flange on the reed block warping.
The same proccedure should be used when re installing. Tighten them evenly to 5.8 ft lb.
The reed block can now be removed for inspection.
When replacing the reed block, one should use a heat resistant sealing compound, and then perform a leak down test.
