'00 blaaster starts but then dies

finalyy got it started rode it round the house and it ran good till the spark plug came lose (i forgot to tighten it all the way) and then it will turn over and idle but just as you put on the air filter it dies. what should i do? is it something with the jets? and yes the lid stays off

prolly starving itself for air when you put ur filter on so id go up on your jets and see what happens

ok....well do you think its anything with the pilot air screw

it could possibly be, turn it all the way in until it is tight (but not overtightening because it could damage the aluminum seating of the screw) and back it out a turn and a half to 2 turns
