    The end of the cable should be threaded into the carb top and there should be one or two jamb nuts to lock it down. Is that what your carb looks like?

    Leagers will work, but you'll need the banshee ends on the top of the a-arm. The burgards might work also if you can replace the ends with the right tapers. My boy's quad has a setup like your trying to do and it's really just a comprimise. Even with Leagers and the correct ends to fit stock...

    You can't tell from the pic. The place on the plug you need to look at is the bottom of the insulator. It's called the smoke ring and you need to either cut the threads off the plug to see it or use a good light source and a magnifying glass.

    I'd say between a 38 and 42. Make sure your slide closes completely with the idle screw backed off. In other words your cable is adjusted properly, before you start.

    If you know someone with a Blaster that uses the same cdi, see if you can swap it into yours to try. This is just a guess but because of the things you've decribed so far I'd give that a try.
