ya, i only wrapped it 1/2 turn as well and checked 4 times to make sure it was installed correctly and the spring was still in the hole on both ends! Starting to upset me...lol

nobody????? the kick starter doesn't run freely up and down w/the engine started?

i think it's alright to have the spring cocked a little as long as it doesn't pop out! Does yours return on it's own? If so, how many revolutions did you turn it before you stuck it in that hole?
