It's just another attempt by the government to ruin a good thing and tell the unwitting masses what is best for them because they think we can't think for our selves.

I finally got the motor back together and it's running great. I put in a ProX piston and Cometic gaskets and the compression is much better than it was before. Now it's time for some new rubber and an exhaust system - I'm thinking Toomey or Project Blaster.

I had the same thing happen to me with the kick starter getting stuck but I didn't try and force it. I tore down the top end to find the front skirt of the piston had broken off. I got lucky not having any scratches in the cylinder wall but I did order a new piston kit and top end gasket kit.

You need a compression tester to test compression. You can get one at pretty much any car parts store. It'll probably run you about $20 - $30.

Replacing the piston is pretty easy. Check out the post in the DIY about how to rebuild the top end. I just tore mine down the other night for the first time and it went pretty smooth. Just remember when you are putting the new piston that the arrow is at the front of the motor and don't forget...
