they are very fine threads though, mine had the same issue. i actually soaked it with some wd-40 and then took a nice small wire brush and rubbed it out. threaded right on. and mine wouldnt even catch, could be dirt stuck in the threads. try cleaning before buying a new one.

maybe it did blow out the exhaust. I actually looked at the connecting rod and saw little prices stuck in it where u can see the bearing. I took them out. Gonna try and blow it out when I go to work soon

is it hard to do...i started to do it in my house garage but im very limited on the tools i have lol. but i got alot of sh*t at honda. is there anything special i need besides the tool to take off the flywheel...i have that btw!

well i do have the motor out and i am a mechanic at the honda dealer. im bringing it with me to work tomorrow so i can degrease the entire motor. but ill try doing that, holding the engine upside down and blowing air into it. would it be a bad idea to pour some oil in their to try and flush it...
