i was able to get the rod out but no ball is there so should i just order a new rod and ball and should be good to go?

ok so heres the latest i took off the clutch basket off and i can stick a 3 inch bolt in there and i do feel something is in there. but is it the rod and ball or something else. whats my next step is what im looking for? thanks!! you guys are of great help
