Carb jetting for air box lid removal.

The blaster is jetted the same for all elevations ,as per manual. Would that not make it slightly lean at lowest elevations and and a little rich at highest elevations..? Not to mention temps.. If I only open the air box, could I adjust the pilot screw in (if at all) and go up 2 or 3 sizes on...

    bogging in first gear

I am willing to help any way I can but u need to get urself a Clymers manual and watch a few videos on YouTube to get urself comfortable with the idea of doing ur own work. Most two stroke carbs are relatively simple and very much alike. This particular one having oil injection and tors makes it...

    bogging in first gear

Check compression, spark plug, pilot air screw position/adjustment.? Take off/apart carb and clean and blow out with compressed air methodically..check sizes of pilot and main . Check float height and needle position.. compare to manual , be sure all parts are present including the washer...

    high octane gas

I do believe I'm a few points smarter for having read that.. Thank you very much..

    Need help!

"Spudder" sounds rich. With a DG silencer ur probably not going to have much gain in flow. Not much of a upgrade requiring more fuel unless you have the air box lid off and oil injection delete..? Replacement of a bad air filter with a higher(?) flow (K&N style) and resulting in a worse...

    high octane gas

Another question, perhaps silly, ...does the carbon build up on the Pistons, of a car for instance, create higher compression and therefore profit from a higher octane gas.?

    high octane gas

Feeling a little confused here.... As I understand it compression creates heat..more compression= more heat...more heat creates the likely hood of the fuel/air igniting on it's own before the spark and a higher octane prevents this...no ?? So when exactly does the higher octane play it's...

    Something I don't get about 2 strokes......

From a layman's perspective I would think as long as the engine is turning then the oil is pumping into the carb at the same rate ..and being drawn in because the slide is never fully closed.. Is this flawed logic.? Does not the oil pump feed oil depending upon engine speed not throttle...

    Crows foot tension conversion

A 10/12 mm open box wrench is part of the original tools that came with the blaster..

    Crows foot tension conversion

Torque value x length of torque wrench / new Total torque wrench length = new torque value.

    Crows foot tension conversion

Fyi.....An open box wrench that has a 10mm side and a 12mm side along with a 3/8" torque wrench (10mm side will fit on 3/8" drive) would suffice on the 12mm base nuts..

2 Stroke Top End Rebuild very informative

Clymer manual says to measure ring gap by installing through the bottom of the cylinder to it's least worn spot.. seemingly (according to the picture) to just above where the skirt starts.. #4 tip says install from top between the head gasket surface and the exhaust port.. Can someone explain.?
