so i took the carb apart and it already had a 270 in it. the lid has been on and pulled the plug and was black with a lil oil. if i keep the lid on with a k&N and full fmf the 270 should be fine then? i didnt look at needle position since on fmfs website they said 3rd position and that should be...

the one line that runs to the rear of quad has been blocked off. we just kept it on there while looking at the main jet.is there a good way to block the one off that goes to the carb. i premix at 32 to 1. the guy i bought it off says he blocked it off since he prmixes for other bikes already.

if i go with a 300 main and the stock 32.5 piolt do i need to adjust the needle position. stock is 2nd position correct?would i need to move it up 1 to the 3rd?

i was pulling my carb off today when i noticed a hose going from the right side of the carb into the top of the crankcase. it had resistance on it when i pulled on it and wanted to make sure what it was or how to get it off without damaging it or something else

Would it be safe to run with stock filter and pipes on stock jets til I get new jets?

ok so at least a 270 jet for a open air box or just pipes and filter. thank you for the reponses. this is the first 2 stroke ive had in a long timeso i will try to get all the info and let you guys know. does anyone know a good shop in northern az by laughlin NV or anyone else that lives around...

ok i will try to check the size on my next day off. what size should it be and if i take off airbox what size should i go to. any recomendations on brand of jets. im going to check the plug as well since the filter was pretty dirty the plug might not be the best as well.

im not sure im guessing its stock jet size. is a 98 the guy i bought it from said all he changed was pipes and filter. it seems like it makes good power on top but isnt as smooth doen low on rpm range. i asked a local shop and they said dont jet it but i want to start making a lil more power...
