Hey I have a Yamaha ct2engine on a 1976 100cc frame. It runs like a demon but I have a issue. Everytime I try to shift into third it feels juss like the chain is badly slipping or missing teeth on the gear and then I shift to fourth and its fine but down shifting it gets hung up between 2nd and3rd and I have to shut the bike off and work the shifter to get it unstuck and back to 1st . Any ideas? This thing has me stumped

They are all real simular in design of shift mechinisim. Same trouble shooting as Blaster. Look for loose,worn, broken parts or weak springs under clutch cover. Worst case split cases and look for bad shift forks, burrs etc on drum or fork followers. What kind of oil in trans? When was it last changed? Is oil full?

I run Yamaha lube gear lubeand do you kno were I could,find parts ? I keep changing it everywhere month and only start up and put around in first and second and put it away like twice a month

Guess that rules out any kind of oil problem. Only option left is just digging into it.

Cool ill check it out.thanks. oh would u happen to kno what tooth sprockets I would need cause it only goes about 40.
