as most of you all know im really trying to make my blaster fast and handle good and i really want to focus on handling cause wats the point of a fast engine but none of the power can get to the ground and its uncontrollable so i wanna get the diamond j widening kit is that the like bar extender things that go on your a-arms cause i see its cheaper than getting wider a-arms so just give me the info on will it be safe or not

eBay Motors: Yamaha Blaster,700R or Warrior A-arms & Shocks Wid. Kit (item 180293623337 end time Oct-05-08 20:25:10 PDT) would that be it cause in a couple weeks imma end up getting it if its like under 100 bucks if its over i can still do it just take a lil while longer

A good rule to follow on what works and what doesn't work is to see what other people are running. I've been around mx racing for the past 10 years and have never seen anyone show up with a widening kit. I would never use one of those on an mx. In my opinion, your just asking for trouble with one of those.
it will add so much weight to the already front heavy blasty. plus it wont handle as well because the a arms are mounted to the frame further out. closer tothe center of the frame, the better handling.
welp there goes that idea guess you pay for what you get well that works in most cases but thanks guys id rather somebody tell me something like this doenst work then it does work for mx cause if i come down for a jump and this thing cracks or snaps the rest of that wouldnt be to pretty thanks again guys
u havent even heard from anyone that has them, i do, and i have never had a problem with this kit. i think that i ride pretty hard, (at least hard enough to snap my swingarm twice from jumping) and this kit has held up great!!!, the kit peices are 1/4 inch steel, now look at ur stock mounts, mabe an 1/8 inch. as said above u will lose some turning radius, but the stability u gain is well worth it!
I have the kit and I have had no problems with it at all. I ride hard on trails and jumps and its good for me.
As for the weight your adding maybe 5lb prolly less to the front end.
Have you searched ebay for A arms? i have found some buy it now for $175.00 just as much as I got my diamond j kit for.
