i have a 98 blaster was apparently just rebuilt. i bought it about 3 weeks ago. ran fine all day everyday and started very easily. premixed fuel @32:1. ran one day untill the exhaust came off then we repaired it and it bogged out and never started again. any ideas guys??

did you check the plug or maybe replace it with a new 1?. umm is there enough gas in the tank. kinda sounds like its not getting gas..

changed plug and it has gas also sprayed a good amount of carb cleaner in it. Still nothing. Headlight won't even light up when I kick it. Think maybe electrical or rings?

I have 98 blaster and when I replaced the exhaust with the fatty pipe and fmf silencer I had to rejet my carb to get it to run, I had the same simptoms you are having, BUT why did the exhaust fall off? Because of damage, rust, heat? if it had an exhaust leak before it broke off it may have been tuned to compensate for the leak, if you sealed the leak now then you might be too lean or too rich, I adjusted my secondary or idle jet and I kick started no problem, give me alittle more info and I might be able to step you in the right direction.....

ya i was thinking about the jets. the exhaust when i got it had a ghetto rigged fmf full exhaust. i ran it like that for a couple days and worked without a problem untill it came off the motor and apart at the center section. i took it to my uncle and he welded a couple beads where he could and it stuck for a while untill my dumb friend rolled it down a hill and the wheel hit the exhaust pipe and it came off again. but we got it back together agin turned it on it ran for a little while then randomly just died. i think it might be a plug wire cuz i cant get it to show any spark when i do the test. maybe a different wire or carb too but im not sure.

Have you checked for spark yet ? Just pull the plug put the boot on it and lay it on the cylinder. then kick it a couple of times to see if the plug is firing. Good luck.
