wont go into gear

ok so this is for a friend of mine who has a 2001 blaster he just bought not long ago the blaster will not go into gear when running but will when the bike is off any ideas before i start tearing down?

most likely a clutch issue. try adjusting the clutch at the lever

If adjusting the lever doesnt work, then youll probably need a repair manual if your new to blastys to get into the clutch, could be a shot clutch pack or plates, i put a new clutch pack in mine and was disappointed that the solution was the linkage that goes from behind the clutch pack to the shifter shaft has a small ball bearing that can sometimes wear the linkage out or weld itself to the linkage disabling clutch. Like the first guy said though, try all the adjustment possible first.
