wont go into 2nd gear

hi guys was wonderin if you could help me i was thinkin about buyin a 01 blaster but it wont go into 2nd gear what kind of work would be needed and how much wud it cost??? plz help

im not sure, you should pm pittboss45 and see what he thinks first, he is a certified tech. i am not, YET! lol

to change a worn shift fork you ned to split the cases. If you are not doing this yourself than the labor cost can be pricey. I had to change forks in my banshe and the labor alone to split and reasemble the cases was almost $400. Tha was without the parts I needed.

hi guys the man with the quad told me wats wrong wit the quad it would need new gears and a full gaskit set how much would these parts cost i have a picture and it is in pretty good condition with load of stickers!!!

It may only need the rod the shift forks are on but you wont know until you get it tore down Id stay away from it becuz labor charges may add up to more than the machine is worth if you tear it down yourself try to slide the shift forks on the rod if they bind then ts a bad rod
