Will this leak down tester work?

No, that's setup to measure "blow-by" of rings. Two strokes need a whole engine low pressure leakdown test.

Plus, why would you pay $39 for a leakdown tester when Slickerthanyou sells them for $25?

i think it would work but you would want to make sure your piston was below the transfer ports and of course blocking the intake and exhaust.. if you want a leakdown tester get one from slickerthanyou i have one and it works sweet!!!

alright, so no go for that tester. Does the one that slickerthenyou makes be used for other 2 stroke quads? I work on a lot of 2 stroke quads for little 90's to trailboss's. Just want to make sure I get the most band for my buck.

My tester arrived today from Slick, what a beaut bit of gear. Well made, great value, so much better than my old one.

They will work on other 2 strokes, just need the adapter to fit the carby boot, PM Slick he will put you right.

It's universal. The only thing you will need for other motors is the right size plug for the exhaust and a fitting for the intake if it's a different size then a Blasters.
True value or another hardware store should have everything you need to make Slicks tester work for any 2 stroke.

I have that tester and sucessively used it to leak test. Plugged the intake with a PVC cap that was right outside dia, and rubber cap over ex stub. Unit adjusts low enough to get 6-7lbs pressure.

Originally purchased for blow by test for 4-stroke.

Pressureising from the plug hole will work for case and seals, but am I right in thinking that the reeds would stop the pressure from getting to the reed block gasket and carby boot.
